On January 21-22 and 25-26, 2016 in the framework of the project “Diabetic Foot Care Improvement” trainings were organized for the health care providers represented from target regions of the clinics where the foot care cabinets have been established. The training “Diabetes and its complications – screening, preventive inspection, general aspects of its management and treatment” was organized by organization “Welfare Foundation” together with “Diabetes Research National Center“. Participants of the above mentioned trainings were endocrinologists, neurologists, surgeons, private doctors and clinical managers.
Main focus of the training was to share the newest updates of Diabetic foot syndrome, its screening, diagnosis, treatment, management and education and Macro vascular complications of Diabetes, as well as the issues like the prevalence, pathogenesis, classification and symptoms of Diabetes, Management and general principles of Type II Diabetes, screening and preventive inspections, short term complications of Diabetes: hypoglycemia, hyperglycemias, Diabetic ketoacidosis, long term complications of diabetes: nephropathy, retinopathy and neuropathy, healthy food and physical activity and the importance of self control in managing diabetes.
The book “Preventive inspection, diagnosis and treatment of the Diabetic foot syndrome” worked out and printed in the framework of the project “Diabetic Foot Care Improvement” was given to the participants of the trainings.
