Organizational profile &mission statement
WF is a non-governmental organization founded in 2001 by a group of Georgian professionals graduated from the leading schools of social sciences in Western Europe/USA, previously working at various multi and bi-lateral development agencies and international NGOs. Altimate goal of WF is to establish a Georgian institution/excellence center with an international reputation focused on the most sensitive areas for the vulnerable population such as health rights, social welfare and poverty reduction. The wide technical expertise of WF staff covers the following areas: health/social systems research, policy analysis, advocacy, monitoring and evaluation of the State programs, health rights promotion and community mobilization. Since its foundation, the organization has carried out projects funded by various donor agencies such as DFID, EU, WHO, StopTB Partnership, CIDA, SIDA, OSI, OSGF, Oxfam GB, Oxfam Novib, Eurasia Partnership Foundation. An average annual budget of organization is up to 500,000 USD. WF has already settled and functional head office in Tbilisi, leading and directing wide network of volunteers, partners and health educators across the country. The head office has well established administrative, financial and procurement/logistic systems. Our Vision: We believe, it is achievable to live in a world, where all human healthcare and social needs are properly ensured. We believe that protecting the health rights of every individual person creates significant basement for economic development and social welfare of the country. Our Mission: Our mission is to improve the life quality of poor and socially disadvantaged population through the research in health and social welfare fields and the strong advocacy for health rights. Our Core Values: Our core value are a)the universal access to healthcare services for every individual in the country, regardless the social status, ethnical originality, religious believes or any other difference; b)mutual respect and solidarity; c)universality and integrity of human rights to health.
